Alice Oliverio, 66, of Spfld MA, died on Monday evening, May 26, at home surrounded by her adoring family.   She was born in Spfld, MA, the daughter of the late Daniel Crohan and the late Mary Shea Crohan.    Alice will be remembered as a loving, selfless, unwaveringly supportive mother, grandmother and life partner.   Alice was the pillar of her family life, forever bringing together holiday and birthday celebrations at her warm home.   Her strength and willingness to sacrifice allowed her to be there for everyone she loved whenever she was needed.   She applied this same dedication to her many strong friendships.   She made people feel special by learning and remembering the things that were important to them.   Cards and thoughtful, personal gifts were a year round treat for those who Alice held dear.   Alice worked at the Chapin Center nursing home in Springfield for many years where she was cherished by coworkers and residents alike.   She was equally well known there for her professional excellence and her playful, sometimes diabolical, sense of humor.   She often gave cards and gifts to residents in addition to her coworkers.   She also enjoyed working with her husband Ron at his Sand Art business at fairs and festivals throughout New England.   A doting Grandmother, she made each visit from her grandson Kyle into a special occasion for him.   She was a gifted cook who often made large meals for the family, always remembering to make something special for her vegetarian son or any finicky eaters.   She leaves us with indelible memories of her beautiful smile and generous spirit.   We'll never forget her or how hard she fought to stay with us, no doubt for us more than for herself.

1942-2008

Alice is survived by her son, Michael Oliverio and his partner Rebecca Freitag,   her son Joseph Oliverio and his partner Lara Shepard-Blue, her husband and life partner Ronald Oliverio, her grandson Kyle Freitag, her sister Mary Dudley & husband David Dudley, her niece Linda Guidetti & husband Doug Guidetti, nephew William Casseles, her brother Daniel Crohan and wife Jane Crohan.
